Affiliate & Sponsorship Disclosure
For Foodie Friends operates as an independent food blog, and like most food blogs, the site is partly supported by affiliate partnerships and occasional sponsored content. This page explains exactly how those work — because you deserve to know.
Affiliate Programs
For Foodie Friends participates in affiliate programs. The main one is:
- Amazon Associates Program — As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases when readers click affiliate links on this site and make purchases on Amazon.
When you click an affiliate link and buy something, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you'd gone to Amazon directly — Amazon pays me out of their margin, not out of your pocket.
What I Recommend
I only recommend products I actually use or would genuinely use in my own kitchen. If I link to a particular brand of mixing bowl, knife, pan, or pantry item, it's because I either own that product or I've researched it and believe it's a good choice for the situation. I do not recommend products solely because of their commission rate.
If a product doesn't meet my standards, it doesn't get linked — even if the commission would be higher.
Sponsored Content
Occasionally, I may publish posts that are sponsored or paid partnerships. When this happens:
- The post is clearly marked at the top as "Sponsored Post" or "Paid Partnership"
- The sponsor's name is disclosed clearly
- My honest opinion is always shared, regardless of who is sponsoring
- I only accept sponsorships for products and brands I personally believe in
If I cannot honestly recommend a product or brand, I do not accept the partnership. No exceptions.
Display Advertising
This site may display advertising through services like Google AdSense or other ad networks. These ads are served programmatically — meaning the ads you see are chosen by automated systems based on your browsing behavior, not by me personally. I have no control over which specific ads appear at any given moment.
Your Trust Matters More Than Any Commission
The single most valuable thing this site has is reader trust. Recommending products you don't need or wouldn't actually buy would destroy that trust quickly. So I keep the recommendations honest, mark partnerships clearly, and put readers ahead of revenue every time.
If you ever feel a recommendation here doesn't align with these principles, please contact me. I want to know.
Questions
