Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberry jam or preserves
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped fresh strawberries

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Prepare Crust and Topping: In a bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir in melted butter and vanilla until crumbly.
  • Layer Bars: Press about two-thirds of the mixture into the prepared pan to form the crust. Spread strawberry jam evenly over the crust. Sprinkle remaining oat mixture on top, along with fresh strawberries if using.
  • Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling at the edges.
  • Cool and Serve: Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
