Ingredients

For the Cookies:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make Cookie Dough:

Scoop and Bake:

  • Scoop dough into balls and place on baking sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake for 9–10 minutes.

Add Marshmallows:

  • Remove cookies from oven and press a marshmallow half into the center of each. Return to oven for 1–2 minutes, just until marshmallows puff.
