  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a donut pan with cooking spray or butter.

Mix the Dry Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Combine Wet Ingredients:

  • In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Make the Batter:

  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Fold in the mini chocolate chips gently.

Fill the Donut Pan:

  • Spoon the batter into a piping bag or zip-top bag. Snip off the tip and pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.

Bake:

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
