Ingredients
  

For the Chili:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can 15 oz pinto beans, drained
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup water or beef broth

Toppings (Optional):

  • Shredded cheese
  • Sour cream
  • Chopped green onions
  • Jalapeños

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Beef: In a large pot, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  • Add Vegetables: Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  • Season: Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add Tomatoes & Beans: Pour in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, and pinto beans. Mix well.
  • Simmer: Add water or broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 45–60 minutes.
  • Serve: Spoon into bowls and top with cheese, sour cream, or green onions if desired.
