Ingredients
  

For the Beef Layer:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water

For the Layered Ingredients:

  • 1 can refried beans (16 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • ¼ cup jalapeños optional, sliced

Instructions
 

Prepare Beef Layer:

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat, add taco seasoning and water, cook 2–3 minutes. Set aside.

Layer Beans and Beef:

  • Spread refried beans in the bottom of a serving dish. Layer cooked beef evenly on top.

Add Remaining Layers:

  • Spread sour cream over beef layer. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese, tomatoes, olives, green onions, and jalapeños.

Serve:

  • Chill for 30 minutes before serving. Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.

  • Make Ahead: Prepare layers ahead and refrigerate, covered, up to 4 hours before serving.
  • Variations: Use black beans instead of refried beans, or add corn for extra texture.
