Ingredients
  

For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes optional, for extra spice

Instructions
 

Combine Ingredients:

  • In a small saucepan, combine pineapple juice, sugar, rice vinegar, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and red pepper flakes.

Cook Sauce:

  • Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves, about 3–5 minutes.

Thicken Sauce:

  • Stir cornstarch mixture into the sauce and cook 1–2 minutes until thickened.

Serve:

  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Serve as a dipping sauce or glaze for chicken, shrimp, or grilled veggies.

  • Make Ahead: Sauce can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
