Sweet Chili Cream Cheese Dip Recipe (3-Ingredient, 5-Minute Party Appetizer)

Sana Umer
When my husbands sister-in-law arrived with thirty minutes notice, I had nothing but cream cheese and Thai sweet chili sauce, and it became the most requested appetizer at every gathering. My kids call it the pink sauce because of how beautifully the chili sauce swirls into the creamy base, and it has saved me countless times when unexpected guests arrive. This might be the easiest, most impressive dip you will ever serve, and honestly, I cannot believe how much people love something this simple.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese room temperature for easier spreading
  • ½ cup Thai sweet chili sauce adjust amount based on preference
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro or green onions finely chopped for garnish
  • 1 pinch sea salt to taste
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers for serving
  • 2 medium carrots sliced into sticks, optional for serving
  • 1 medium red bell pepper sliced into strips, optional for serving
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder optional, for extra flavor

Instructions

  • Place the block of room temperature cream cheese directly onto a serving plate or shallow bowl. If your cream cheese is cold, let it sit out for five minutes so it softens slightly and becomes easier to work with.
  • Pour the Thai sweet chili sauce generously over the top of the cream cheese block, starting in the center and letting it naturally drip down the sides. Use about half a cup, or adjust to your preference for sweetness and heat.
  • Sprinkle the chopped fresh cilantro or green onions over the top of the sauce, creating an attractive garnish. Add a light pinch of sea salt if desired, and optionally sprinkle a touch of garlic powder for extra depth of flavor.
  • Arrange your chosen crackers, carrot sticks, and bell pepper slices around the dip on the same plate, creating an inviting presentation that makes guests want to dig in immediately.
  • Serve right away while the cream cheese is still cool and the chili sauce maintains its glossy appearance. The dip is best enjoyed within thirty minutes of preparation when the flavors are most vibrant and the textures are at their best.

Notes

This dip is best served immediately while the cream cheese is still slightly cool and the chili sauce remains glossy on top. Storage: Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, though the presentation will not be quite as stunning. Variation: Try adding a handful of chopped green onions or cilantro mixed directly into the cream cheese before plating for extra flavor and visual appeal.
