Ingredients
  

For the Cake:

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Instructions
 

Prepare Pan:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch square baking pan.

Mix Dry Ingredients:

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cream Butter and Sugar:

  • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.

Combine Ingredients:

  • Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Fold in chopped strawberries.

Add Cream Cheese Swirl:

  • In a small bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Drop spoonfuls over batter and swirl gently with a knife.

Bake and Cool:

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool before slicing and serving.
