Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork ribs
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon chilli flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 green onions chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
  • Prepare Marinade: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and chilli flakes.
  • Marinate Ribs: Coat ribs with the sauce and let marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavour).
  • Bake: Cover ribs with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil, brush with sauce, and bake 20–30 minutes more until sticky and caramelised.
  • Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • Tip: Double the sauce for extra glaze.
  • Variation: Grill the ribs instead of baking for smoky flavour.
  • Serve with: Steamed jasmine rice or stir-fried veggies.
