Ingredients

  • 4 steaks ribeye, sirloin, or your choice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare Steaks:

  • Season steaks with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steaks to desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove steaks and set aside to rest.

Cook Shrimp:

  • In the same skillet, add butter. Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning, then cook shrimp until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.

Make Sauce:

  • Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet; sauté until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in smoked paprika, dried thyme, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes until sauce thickens.

Combine:

  • Return shrimp to the sauce and warm through.

Serve:

  • Place steaks on plates and spoon creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley.
