These Southern-style firecracker deviled eggs are creamy, tangy, and lightly spicy with a classic twist. A perfect make-ahead appetizer for July 4th potlucks, BBQs, and summer gatherings.

Ingredients
  

For the Eggs:

  • 6 large eggs

For the Firecracker Filling:

  • cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1–2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For Garnish:

  • paprika (sprinkle)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives
  • 6 small slices jalapeño slices (optional)

Instructions
 

Boil Eggs

  • Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, and boil for 10 minutes. Transfer to ice water to cool.

Prepare Eggs

  • Peel eggs, slice in half, and remove yolks into a bowl.

Make Filling

  • Mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustards, vinegar, hot sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.

Fill Eggs

  • Spoon or pipe filling back into egg whites evenly.

Garnish & Serve

  • Sprinkle with paprika, chives, and optional jalapeño slices. Chill before serving.
