Ingredients
  

For Cookie Dough:

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red and pink sprinkles for decorating

Instructions
 

Mix Dry Ingredients:

  • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

Mix Wet Ingredients:

  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.

Form Dough Log:

  • Combine wet and dry ingredients to form dough. Shape into a log, wrap in plastic, and chill 30 minutes.

Prepare for Baking:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice dough into ¼-inch thick heart shapes. Place on baking sheet.

Bake and Decorate:

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Decorate with sprinkles while warm. Cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • Make Ahead: Dough log can be refrigerated for 1–2 days before slicing.
