  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon red food colouring

For the Frosting:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Make the Cake:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch pan. In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
