Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Fresh grated Parmesan optional
  • Cooked pasta or crusty bread for serving

Instructions

Prepare Shrimp:

  • Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.

Sauté Garlic:

  • Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Cook Shrimp:

  • Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 1–2 minutes per side, just until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

Make Sauce:

  • Add white wine and lemon juice to skillet. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly. Stir in remaining butter and red pepper flakes.

Finish & Serve:

  • Return shrimp to skillet. Toss to coat. Sprinkle with parsley and Parmesan. Serve hot over pasta or with bread.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • Don’t overcook the shrimp—they cook quickly and can turn rubbery.
