Ingredients
  

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce optional
  • 6 sandwich buns toasted if desired

Instructions
 

Season Beef:

  • Season the beef chuck roast evenly with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.

Prepare Slow Cooker:

  • Place sliced onion in the bottom of the slow cooker and set the seasoned beef on top.

Slow Cook:

  • Pour beef broth over the meat. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or until very tender.

Shred Beef:

  • Remove beef, shred with two forks, and return to the slow cooker. Stir in barbecue sauce if using.

Assemble Sandwiches:

  • Pile pulled beef onto buns and serve warm.

  • Serving Idea: Add coleslaw or pickles for extra crunch.
