Ingredients
  

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 3 cups water or chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions
 

Cook Meat:

  • In a large pot, cook ground meat over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

Sauté Veggies:

  • Add onion and garlic to the pot. Sauté until onion is translucent.

Add Sauce:

  • Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, water or broth, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.

Cook Spaghetti:

  • Break spaghetti in half and add to the pot. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until pasta is tender, about 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve:

  • Serve hot, sprinkled with grated Parmesan cheese.
