PECAN PRALINES
Sana Umer
I've fallen in love with making these buttery Pecan Pralines at home—they're a genuine taste of Southern tradition that comes together in just 15 minutes. With nothing more than sugar, cream, butter, and toasted pecans, you'll create melt-in-your-mouth candies with a creamy center and crispy edges that rival any confectioner's version.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, and butter over medium heat. Stir constantly.
Bring the mixture to a boil, reaching 238°F (soft-ball stage) on a candy thermometer.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and pecans. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens.
Drop spoonfuls of the praline mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
Allow to cool and set before serving or storing.
Make Ahead: Pecan pralines are perfect for advance preparation. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days.
Customizing the Flavor: Add cinnamon for warmth or a splash of bourbon for a smoky twist. Substitute pecans with walnuts or almonds if desired.
Serving Suggestions: Enjoy as a snack, dessert, or packaged as thoughtful holiday gifts. Pair with coffee or ice cream for an indulgent treat.
Allergy-Friendly Options: Replace dairy with coconut milk and vegan butter for a dairy-free option. Substitute seeds for nuts in case of allergies.
