OVERNIGHT CROISSANT BREAKFAST CASSEROLE BAKE WITH GRAVY

This overnight croissant breakfast casserole bake is a hearty, comforting dish featuring flaky croissants, eggs, sausage, and cheese, baked overnight for easy mornings. Served with creamy gravy, it’s perfect for family brunches and special occasions.
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread croissant pieces evenly in the dish. Sprinkle cooked sausage and cheddar cheese over the croissants.
Mix Custard:
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Pour evenly over the croissant mixture. Press gently to soak.
Chill Overnight:
Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours.
Bake the Casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until set and golden on top.
Make the Gravy:
While the casserole bakes, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook 1–2 minutes until bubbly. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
Serve:
Serve the casserole warm, topped with creamy gravy.
