Ingredients
  

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups uncooked penne pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Cook Chicken – Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add diced chicken, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook until golden brown.
  • Step 2: Add Liquids – Pour in marinara sauce and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  • Step 3: Cook Pasta – Add uncooked pasta, bring to a simmer, and cover. Cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 4: Add Cheese – Stir in Parmesan cheese, then top with mozzarella. Cover and let cheese melt.
  • Step 5: Serve – Garnish with fresh basil and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm.
