These Mini Trifles are layered desserts made with cake, pudding or whipped cream, and fresh fruit or chocolate. Easy to assemble and serve in small cups, they're perfect for parties, holidays, or individual sweet treats.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cubed pound cake or sponge cake
  • 1 ½ cups whipped cream or vanilla pudding
  • 1 cup fresh berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or chopped fruit
  • ½ cup fruit jam or sauce optional
  • Chocolate shavings or sprinkles optional
  • Mini dessert cups or small jars

Instructions
 

Prepare the Ingredients:

  • Cube the cake into small pieces. Wash and slice fruit if needed. Prepare whipped cream or pudding.

Layer the Trifles:

  • In each mini cup, layer cake cubes at the bottom, followed by a spoonful of jam, then a layer of pudding or whipped cream. Add fruit on top.

Repeat Layers:

  • Add a second round of the same layers: cake, jam, cream, then fruit. Finish with a dollop of cream and a garnish of fruit or chocolate shavings.

Chill (Optional):

  • Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set, or serve immediately.
