Ingredients
  

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar optional

Instructions
 

Sauté Garlic:

  • Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add Ingredients:

  • Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and sugar if using. Stir well to combine.

Simmer Sauce:

  • Bring to a simmer and cook for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens.

Finish and Serve:

  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve warm or store for later use.
