Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Filling

  • 12 chocolate truffles or chocolate candies for filling

Instructions
 

Prepare Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

Cream Butter and Sugars

  • In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.

Add Egg and Vanilla

  • Add egg and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined.

Combine Wet and Dry

  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix until fully incorporated.

Shape Dough

  • Scoop dough into 12 equal portions. Flatten each portion slightly.

Add Filling

  • Place a chocolate truffle in the center of each dough portion. Wrap dough around filling and seal edges.

Prepare Baking Sheet

  • Place filled cookies on prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.

Bake Cookies

  • Bake cookies for 12–14 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.

Serve

  • Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
