Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni uncooked
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dry mustard optional

Instructions

Prep the Crockpot:

  • Grease the inside of the crockpot with butter or non-stick spray.

Combine Ingredients:

  • In the crockpot, mix the uncooked macaroni, whole milk, evaporated milk, melted butter, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and seasonings.

Cook:

  • Cover and cook on low for 2 hours. Stir once halfway through to prevent sticking.

Check Consistency:

  • After 2 hours, stir well. If it’s too thick, add a splash of milk to loosen. Serve warm and creamy!

Notes

  • Cheese Options: Feel free to mix in Monterey Jack, Gruyère, or Colby for variety.
  • Make it a Meal: Add cooked bacon, ham, or broccoli for a heartier version.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk.
  • No Boil Needed: The macaroni cooks directly in the slow cooker—no need to pre-boil!
  • For Extra Creaminess: Stir in a little cream cheese or sour cream before serving.
