Ingredients
  

For the Base:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small head green cabbage shredded

For the Sauce:

  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Optional Topping:

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare Meat:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.

Cook Cabbage:

  • Add shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook 5 minutes until slightly softened.

Prepare Sauce:

  • Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.

Assemble Casserole:

  • Transfer mixture to a 9x13 inch casserole dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

Serve:

  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot.
