Ground Turkey Sweet Potato Skillet is a quick, healthy meal with seasoned ground turkey, tender sweet potatoes, and vibrant veggies—all cooked together for a flavorful, one-pan dinner.
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Remove and set aside.
Sauté the vegetables:
In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed. Add onion and bell pepper and cook for 3–4 minutes until soft. Add garlic and stir for 30 seconds.
Cook the sweet potatoes:
Add diced sweet potatoes, season with paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well and pour in the water or broth. Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender.
Combine everything:
Return the cooked turkey to the skillet and stir until everything is heated through and well combined.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
