  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 –2 teaspoons green food coloring
  • Optional: red and white frosting for decoration

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • Make Dough: In a large bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy. Add egg, vanilla, and green food coloring; mix until smooth. Gradually add dry ingredients until combined.
  • Shape Cookies: Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly if desired.
  • Bake: Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool 5 minutes on the sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Decorate (Optional): Use red and white frosting to add Grinch-inspired details like a Santa hat or smile.
