Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Combine: Gradually stir dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Fold in pecans and chocolate chips.
  • Bake: Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 28–32 minutes or until edges are set but center is still slightly gooey.
  • Cool & Serve: Allow brownies to cool before cutting into squares.
