  • ½ lb smoked sausage sliced
  • ½ lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 medium head green cabbage chopped
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil if needed

Instructions

Cook the Bacon:

Add the Sausage:

  • Add sliced sausage to the bacon grease and brown on both sides. Remove and set aside with the bacon.

Sauté Shrimp:

  • In the same skillet, add shrimp. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables:

  • Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook until soft. Then, add chopped cabbage, season with paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

Combine and Cook:

  • Stir cabbage frequently for 10–15 minutes until tender. Add shrimp, sausage, and bacon back to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through.

Serve Hot:

  • Garnish with extra red pepper flakes or parsley if desired.
