Fireworks Funfetti Cupcakes are festive, fluffy treats bursting with colourful sprinkles and topped with patriotic frosting. Perfect for 4th of July, birthdays, or parties—these cupcakes are as fun to make as they are to eat!
Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
Make Batter:
In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until smooth. Fold in sprinkles.
Bake:
Divide batter evenly among liners. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
Make Frosting:
Beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth and spreadable. Divide into thirds; tint one red, one blue, and leave one white.
Decorate:
Pipe or spread frosting using all three colours for a swirl effect. Top with sprinkles or themed decorations.

Swirl Tip: Add coloured frosting to separate sides of a piping bag for a fun swirl.
