Firecracker Shrimp Skewers are bold, spicy, and perfect for grilling season. Marinated in a zesty, sweet-heat sauce, these shrimp are quick to cook and packed with flavour—ideal for summer cookouts or appetiser platters.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • Wooden skewers soaked in water

Instructions
 

Make Marinade:

  • In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, sweet chilli sauce, sriracha, honey, soy sauce, lime juice, and garlic.

Marinate Shrimp:

  • Add shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 15–30 minutes.

Assemble Skewers:

  • Thread marinated shrimp onto soaked wooden skewers.

Grill:

  • Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high. Grill shrimp skewers for 2–3 minutes per side or until opaque and slightly charred.

Serve:

  • Serve hot with extra lime wedges or drizzle with remaining marinade (boiled first, if used).
