For the Pizza Sauce: 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 cloves garlic minced 1 teaspoon dried oregano ½ teaspoon dried basil ½ teaspoon sugar optional, to balance acidity ¼ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Make Pizza Sauce: In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
