Ingredients
  

For the Crust:

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast 1 packet
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Filling:

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked Italian sausage crumbled
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Optional toppings: sautéed mushrooms onions, or bell peppers

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough:

  • In a large bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm water and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms, then knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a deep 9-inch pie dish or cake pan.

Assemble the Pizza Pie:

  • Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pan. Layer mozzarella cheese, sausage, pepperoni, and optional toppings. Spread pizza sauce over the top and sprinkle with Parmesan and Italian seasoning.

Bake:

  • Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly.

Cool and Serve:

  • Let the pizza pie cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
