2 pounds smoked ham cut into cubes or use ham hocks 2 pounds baby potatoes halved or quartered 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed 1 medium onion chopped 3 cloves garlic minced 4 cups chicken broth 1 teaspoon black pepper ½ teaspoon salt adjust depending on ham saltiness ½ teaspoon smoked paprika optional 2 bay leaves
