Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds smoked ham cut into cubes or use ham hocks
  • 2 pounds baby potatoes halved or quartered
  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt adjust depending on ham saltiness
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika optional
  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Ingredients: Rinse and cut potatoes, trim green beans, and chop onion.
  • Layer in Crockpot: Add potatoes, green beans, onion, garlic, and ham into the crockpot.
  • Add Seasonings: Pour in chicken broth. Season with pepper, paprika, and bay leaves. Stir lightly.
  • Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are fork-tender and ham is heated through.
  • Serve: Remove bay leaves, stir, and serve hot with cornbread or biscuits.

  • Ham Options: Use leftover holiday ham, a ham bone with meat, or ham hocks for extra flavour.
  • Extra Seasoning: Add a dash of hot sauce or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
