CRISPY PARMESAN SMASHED POTATOES

These Crispy Parmesan Smashed Potatoes are golden, crunchy, and cheesy. Perfect as a side dish for any meal, easy to make, and loved by the whole family.

Ingredients
  

For the Potatoes:

  • 1 lb baby potatoes washed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

Boil Potatoes:

  • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.

Smash Potatoes:

  • Place potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Gently press each potato with a fork or potato masher until flattened but intact.

Season & Bake:

  • Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper, Parmesan, and garlic powder. Bake for 20 minutes until crispy and golden.

Serve:

  • Remove from oven and serve hot as a side dish.

Notes

  • Make Ahead: Boil potatoes ahead and store in fridge, then bake before serving.
  • Serving: Great side for chicken, steak, or vegetarian dishes.
  • Extra Crispy: Use a little more olive oil or broil for 2 minutes at the end.
  • Storage: Leftovers keep 2 days in fridge, reheat in oven for crispiness.
