These Crispy Funnel Cake Sticks are a fun fair treat you can make at home! Light, golden, and dusted with powdered sugar, they’re perfect for parties, holidays, or a sweet afternoon snack.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

Make the Batter:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In another bowl, beat eggs, then mix in milk and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a smooth batter.

Heat the Oil:

  • Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Funnel Cake Sticks:

  • Transfer batter to a piping bag or squeeze bottle. Pipe 4–5 inch lines into hot oil. Fry until golden and crispy, about 1–2 minutes per side.

Drain and Dust:

  • Remove with tongs and drain on paper towels. Immediately dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Make Ahead:
Prepare the batter up to 1 day in advance and refrigerate. Stir before using.
Serving Ideas:
Serve with chocolate sauce, strawberry syrup, or whipped cream for dipping.
Variations:
Add cinnamon to the powdered sugar or try mixing cocoa powder for a chocolate twist.
