CRISPY CRAWFISH BEIGNETS WITH JALAPEÑO CHEDDAR DIP

Crispy crawfish beignets are golden, fluffy fritters filled with seasoned crawfish. Served with a spicy jalapeño cheddar dip, they make a perfect appetizer or party snack full of bold Louisiana flavours.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and Cajun seasoning. In another bowl, beat egg and buttermilk. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Fold in crawfish and green onions.
Heat Oil:
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Fry Beignets:
Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil, frying in batches. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Make Jalapeño Cheddar Dip:
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, cheddar, jalapeño, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Serve:
Serve warm beignets with jalapeño cheddar dip for dipping.
