Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup imitation crab meat or real crab meat, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 egg beaten, for sealing
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

Prepare the Filling:

  • In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, chopped crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth and well-combined.

Assemble the Egg Rolls:

  • Place an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface. Spoon about 1–2 tablespoons of the crab mixture onto the center of the wrapper. Fold the sides in and roll tightly, sealing the edges with beaten egg.

Heat the Oil:

  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Egg Rolls:

  • Carefully place the egg rolls into the hot oil and fry for 2–3 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve:

  • Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, bake the egg rolls at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, brushing them with oil for a crispy texture.
  • Use real crab meat for a richer flavor if preferred.
  • Serve with a tangy dipping sauce like sweet chili sauce for extra flavor.
