These Cottage Cheese Chips are a light and crispy snack that's perfect for satisfying your crunchy cravings. They are made with cottage cheese and a few simple ingredients for a healthy alternative to traditional chips.
2 cups cottage cheese (strained to remove excess liquid)
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Prepare the Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the strained cottage cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the Chips:
Using a spoon or a small cookie scoop, drop small mounds of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each mound with the back of a spoon to form thin, round chips.
Bake the Chips:
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the chips are golden brown and crispy around the edges. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
Cool and Serve:
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the chips cool on the sheet for a few minutes. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
Transfer the cooled chips to a serving plate and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
Cheese Variations: Feel free to use other cheeses like cheddar, mozzarella, or Gouda for different flavors.
Herb Additions: You can add dried herbs like basil, oregano, or thyme to the mixture for added flavor.
Storage: Store any leftover chips in an airtight container at room temperature. They should keep well for up to 3 days.
Serving Suggestions: Enjoy these chips on their own or pair them with your favorite dip, such as hummus, salsa, or guacamole.
