Christmas Puppy Chow is a festive twist on the classic treat! Coated in chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar with red and green candies, it’s a sweet, crunchy holiday snack that’s perfect for parties or gifting.

Ingredients
  

  • 9 cups rice or corn Chex cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup red and green M&M’s
  • Optional: holiday sprinkles or crushed candy canes

Instructions
 

Melt and Mix:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract.

Coat the Cereal:

  • Place Chex cereal in a large bowl. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently mix to coat evenly.

Add the Sugar:

  • Transfer the coated cereal into a large zip-top bag. Add powdered sugar, seal, and shake until cereal is fully coated.

Add Festive Flair:

  • Spread puppy chow on a baking sheet to cool. Once cooled, mix in M&M’s and optional sprinkles or crushed candy canes.
