These festive Christmas hot cocoa bombs are filled with rich cocoa powder and mini marshmallows, wrapped in smooth chocolate shells. They’re a fun and delicious way to enjoy hot chocolate during the holiday season.
1cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips or melting chocolate
½cuphot cocoa mix
½cupmini marshmallows
Optional: crushed peppermint candiessprinkles, or edible glitter for decoration
Instructions
Melt Chocolate:
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
Form Shells:
Using a silicone sphere mold, spoon melted chocolate into each cavity, coating evenly. Place the mold in the fridge for 10 minutes to set. Repeat with a second layer for thicker shells.
Fill Cocoa Bombs:
Once set, carefully remove half of the chocolate spheres from the mold. Fill each with 1 tablespoon hot cocoa mix and 1 tablespoon mini marshmallows.
Seal Bombs:
Warm a plate slightly and place the empty chocolate halves on it briefly to soften edges. Quickly press the filled halves onto the softened halves to seal and form a sphere. Chill again to set.
Decorate:
Optional: Drizzle melted chocolate over the bombs and sprinkle crushed peppermint or edible glitter.
