Ingredients
  

For the Cake:

  • 1 box 15.25 oz chocolate cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup sour cream

For the Ooey Gooey Filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions
 

Prepare Cake Batter:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and sour cream. Mix until smooth.

Make Filling:

  • In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well. Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until creamy. Stir in chopped pecans.

Assemble:

  • Pour half of the cake batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking pan. Spread the ooey gooey filling evenly over the batter. Pour the remaining cake batter on top and gently spread.

Bake:

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is set and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.

Cool and Serve:

  • Allow to cool completely before slicing. Serve as a rich dessert.
