Ingredients
  

For Oat Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

For Caramel Layer

  • 14 oz caramel candies softened
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

For Topping

  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Prepare Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Make Oat Base

  • Mix melted butter, brown sugar, oats, flour, baking soda, and salt until crumbly.

Press Base

  • Press half of the oat mixture into the prepared pan to form a base.

Prepare Caramel

  • In a saucepan, melt caramel candies with heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth.

Add Caramel Layer

  • Pour caramel over oat base and spread evenly.

Top with Oats

  • Sprinkle remaining oat mixture over caramel layer.

Add Chocolate Topping

  • Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.

Bake Bars

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until lightly golden.

Cool and Serve

  • Cool completely in pan before cutting into 16 bars.
