  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, and sugar.
  • Slowly whisk in the milk until smooth.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened (about 7–8 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter.
  • Serve warm over split biscuits.
