Ingredients
  

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients:

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

Cream Butter and Sugars:

  • In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, mixing well.

Combine:

  • Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.

Shape Twists:

  • Divide dough into small portions. Roll each into a rope about 6 inches long and twist each rope before placing on baking sheets.

Bake:

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes or until edges are golden. Let cool for 5 minutes on baking sheets before transferring to wire racks.
