Ingredients
For the Casserole:
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 4 slices cooked bacon chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 10.5 oz can condensed cheddar cheese soup
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 28 oz bag frozen tater tots
For Topping (Optional):
- Chopped green onions
- Extra cheese and bacon bits
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the Beef: In a skillet, brown ground beef with onion until cooked through. Drain excess grease.
- Mix the Filling: Stir in bacon, garlic powder, salt, pepper, cheese soup, milk, and half the shredded cheese.
- Assemble: Spread the beef mixture into the dish. Top evenly with frozen tater tots.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes or until tater tots are golden and crisp.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle remaining cheese and bacon on top. Bake 5 more minutes until melted.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
