Ingredients

  • 1 11.36 oz box Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix
  • 1 lb ground pork sausage mild or hot
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 packet garlic herb blend from biscuit mix box
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with non-stick cooking spray.

Mix ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, combine sausage, biscuit mix, cheese, milk, and garlic herb packet. Mix until fully incorporated — hands work best!

Shape the balls:

  • Roll mixture into 1 to 1½ inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, about 1 inch apart.

Bake:

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Let cool slightly before serving.

Garnish (Optional):

  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley for a festive look.

Notes

  • Make ahead: Mix and shape the sausage balls ahead of time, then refrigerate or freeze. Bake when ready.
  • Freezer-friendly: Freeze unbaked balls on a tray, then transfer to a zip-top bag. Bake from frozen, adding 5 minutes to bake time.
  • Customise it: Add chopped jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne for a spicy version.
  • Dipping ideas: Great with ranch, honey mustard, or spicy mayo.
