Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450g ground beef or turkey
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 medium head cabbage chopped
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 28 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Cook the Meat:

  • In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground meat with diced onion and garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.

Add Liquids:

  • Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and broth. Mix well.

Add Cabbage and Rice:

  • Add chopped cabbage, cooked rice, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Simmer the Soup:

  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20–25 minutes, until cabbage is tender.

Serve:

  • Ladle into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.
