These Broccoli Cheese Balls are crispy on the outside and soft, cheesy, and packed with veggies on the inside. They're perfect as a snack, appetizer, or party finger food and are a great way to enjoy broccoli.
In a large bowl, mix together chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Form Balls:
Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 tablespoon each. Roll each ball in extra breadcrumbs for a crispy coating.
Cook:
To Fry: Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Fry balls in batches until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes per side.
To Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place balls on a greased baking sheet, spray with cooking spray, and bake for 20–25 minutes, turning halfway.
Serve:
Serve warm with your favourite dipping sauce like ranch, garlic aioli, or marinara.
Notes
Make Ahead: Form and refrigerate the balls up to 1 day in advance before cooking.
Freezing: Freeze uncooked balls on a tray, then store in a freezer bag for up to 1 month. Bake or fry straight from frozen.
Customise: Add cooked rice or chopped spinach for extra texture and nutrients.
Dipping Idea: Great with spicy mayo, sour cream, or honey mustard.
