Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee
  • ½ cup whole milk or any milk of choice
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 2 ounces peppermint schnapps
  • 1 ounce coffee liqueur like Kahlúa
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Crushed candy canes or chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

Heat the Milk:

  • In a small saucepan or microwave, heat the milk until hot but not boiling. Froth with a frother or whisk for a creamy texture.

Mix the Drink:

  • In each mug, add 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup, 1 ounce peppermint schnapps, and ½ ounce coffee liqueur. Pour in ½ cup hot coffee and top with steamed milk.

Garnish and Serve:

  • Top with whipped cream and garnish with crushed candy canes or chocolate shavings. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Make it Dairy-Free: Use almond, oat, or coconut milk.
  • Less Boozy Option: Reduce the schnapps or skip the coffee liqueur.
  • Serving Idea: Rim glasses with crushed candy canes and dip in chocolate syrup for extra flair.
  • Storage Tip: Best enjoyed fresh, but you can mix the coffee and booze ahead and reheat gently.
